The PPGEQ activities are carried out in the academic semester. The selection process takes place at least twice a year, and the program is usually scheduled to begin in March and August, with a 4-credit course of mandatory and elective disciplines (equivalent to 60 in-class hours). The Master’s Degree Program in Chemical Engineering at PPGEQ/UFU requires a minimum and maximum length of 12 and 24 months, respectively. The candidates to the Master’s degree must fulfill 12 credits in mandatory disciplines, 2 credits in Dissertation Seminar, and 8 credits in elective discipline, as well as they must present a Master’s dissertation. For CAPES scholarship students, the Teaching Internship in Undergraduate is also mandatory.

Admission to a Master’s course requires a Bachelor’s degree certificate in the Engineering or Exact Science fields recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) in Brazil.

Admission to a Doctoral Degree Program requires a Master’s degree in Engineering or Exact Science.
