The PPGEQ activities are carried out in academic semester. The selection process takes place at least twice a year, and the program is usually scheduled to begin in March and August, with a 4-credit course of mandatory and elective disciplines (equivalent to 60 in-class hours). The doctoral degree program in Chemical Engineering at PPGEQ/UFU requires the minimum and maximum lengths of 24 and 48 months, respectively. The doctoral degree candidate must fulfill 22 credits corresponding to 12 credits in mandatory disciplines, two credits in Doctorate Seminar and eight credits in elective discipline. Besides, the candidate must present a Doctoral thesis. For CAPES scholarship students, the Teaching Internship in Undergraduate I and Internship in Undergraduate II are also mandatory.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Admission to a Master’s course requires a Bachelor’s degree certificate in the Engineering or Exact Science fields recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) in Brazil.
  • Admission to a Doctoral Degree Program requires a Master’s degree in Engineering or Exact Science.
